Music.
You study. You learn. You practise. You perform. You grow. You master.
Finally, you reach the exalted rank of musician.
No?
No.
The upper altitude of technique is the lower atmosphere of music.
Wherein lies The Secret: Music Edition- Personality.
Knowledge and technique demand personality to become music. Music cannot be without personality.
The technical and theoretical matrix of learnings the student ingests, synthesizing them into performance, serve only as am artistic beginning. A musical protoplasm. A ladder up which the student climbs, only to kick away from underneath, once ascended.
To what does the student ascend?
To the entrance gate of music.
What lies at the entrance gate of music?
The musician.
The musician has passion, emotion, thought, intuition, feeling, insight, anger, tenderness, temper, tension, release, regret, intent, strength, fragility, experience, ego and selflessness. These emerging qualities form and inform the student's personality. Through personality, the student becomes the musician.
A proficient instrumentalist without personality glows dimly next to a less proficient colleague with it.
And so, The Secret: Music Edition directs musicians to master their instruments, learn their craft; but, more importantly, to master their selves.
Music.
